First Edition of Priory Knowledge

Welcome to the first edition of Priory Knowledge – a quarterly newsletter designed to keep everyone up to date with what’s going on around the park.

Car Park Gazebo

You will have noticed the construction of the oak gazebo in the car park. This will shortly house the site information board, fire extinguishers and seating for those who want to grab a breath of fresh air sheltered from the elements. The skeleton structure is complete and Brian and Jim will be doing the finishing touches aiming to complete everything by mid-March. We have yet to decide upon the style of seating so for a short time, it will be standing room only!

Site CCTV

We take security and safety around the park very seriously and in response to an outbreak of petty crime around the village and surrounding area, we have installed seven CCTV cameras. These cover the car park and the driveway – you will have seen the signs announcing the presence of CCTV. While on site, please do all you can to protect your property including making sure that your cars are locked and valuables are hidden from view.

Electric Vehicle Charging Points

It is a pleasure to announce that due to a rise in the popularity of electric vehicles, we will be installing seven new charging points on the park to bringing the total number to 12.  The five existing points will be moved to the wall running between the field and the carpark….and the new ones supplied by Pod Points, will be located where the existing ones are… This work will be completed by early May but for your convenience, there will be continuity of supply during the upgrade.

Cafeteria

Groundworks for the construction of the cafeteria have now started. It will be a Scandinavian-style steel and glass building with part timber cladding and external decking with seating for anyone who wants to eat outside during the warmer months. We have chosen a location immediately to the right of the entrance to the car park opposite building 12, in order to save parking spaces and keep disruption during the build to a minimum.

Thanks to everyone who completed the recent survey in which you told us that you would like the menu to feature locally sourced, wholesome food. We are only too happy to oblige! Our plan is to be open for business early in the Summer.

Boot Washing

For those of you that use the footpaths throughout the day, you may have noticed alongside the hedgerow a newly installed trough for boot washing. This helps keep mud and dirt in the carpark to a minimum, so thank you to all that have started to use this facility.

Welcome New Tenants

In September 2018 we welcomed Dalcour Maclaren – Chartered Surveyors to Unit 12. This was followed in December when Clear B2B, a business to business marketing agency occupied Unit 9

The Co-Working facility “The Huddle Rocks’ in Unit 10a is aimed at people who wish to book a hot desk. There is still some availability here if anyone knows of someone who would benefit from this type of working arrangement.

If you have any questions or comments on any of our news, please contact anyone from the Estate Management Team.

Look out for the next edition of Priory Knowledge in late Spring.
